Understanding concepts established in class
Our goals in this class have been relatively simple. We have attempted to identify a number of different methods of communication that we use daily. Most of us don't take the time to break these separate means of communication into their central components, including body language, sound recognition, learning styles, and etcetera, in order to recombine them into their functional whole. The tasks were fairly simple; we played a name game in which each member of the class was introduced to all other classmates. We also began communicating through the use of nonverbal gestures in order to decipher a secret code. Our communication exercises have since culminated on an activity meant to confuse our minds. We were told to write messages in alphabetical code, which was simply ingenious since any of the 26 letters of the english alphabet are allowed to substitute for one another. Upon constructing sentences using this code, there were infinite possibilities for each sentences true (hidden) meaning. Words containing three letters or more became increasingly difficult in succession, due to the endless number of possible combinations for letter substitutions.

1) Explain in about three sentences the idea that our ability to communicate is a critical part of our "ability to learn and to know'
-Aristotle made a very similar and equally bold statement that the success of our species is solely dependent on our innate abilities to communicate through the evolutionary advent of speech. Speech and communication allows our species to share knowledge and demonstrate necessary actions that allow people to make it through their daily lives. This is the most essential aspect of the learning process in humans, and probably will continue to be for millennia to come.
